On time, on budget and to specs. Could not have asked for more.
We are the fourth house in our street that has been renovated/extended by Mick and Dane. We had the opportunity to watch them do other jobs and then see the finished product close up and get direct feedback from the home owners. Precision, first class attention to detail, tidy, reliable, communicative, problem free were all common themes and and apply equally to our build.
Issues with the build were minor and dealt with immediately. The great thing about Rock Construction is that Mick and Dane are 100% dedicated to the job and always on site. Because they do nearly all the work themselves issues about scheduling subcontractors, and the delays that result, just didn't arise for us. Where they do need to use someone else they have access to other high quality tradies.
We recommend Rock without any reservations.

Fantastic! Sums up our experience with Rock Construction.
We had wanted to renovate for a while and once we had our plans drawn up we set about getting quotes for our project. I contacted 6 builders in all. Rock Construction were recommended by a friend which is always comforting. These builders were impressive from the start, they turned up exactly when they said they would, and were exceptionally prompt getting a quote back to us. A major goal of ours was to open up the back of our house to the garden with a 7.5 metre span of sliding doors, on to the external deck. Our architect advised that this could not be achieved without a central support for the roof structure. We were disappointed but accepted it was not achievable. Mick and Dane took our plans to their engineer and found a way to achieve our goal. None of the other builders who quoted had taken the initiative to suggest there may be a way to deliver what we wanted.
Dane and Mick were always happy to come back and discuss our plans prior to accepting their quote and post accepting the quote. A start date was set, 7th January 2013 and the build time was estimated at 8 weeks.
Rock completed our renovations in 7 weeks and throughout the renovation they were here every morning (no ducking off for days to other jobs). Throughout the build, they were flexible, open, honest and extremely reliable, plus they delivered a quality build.
Finally, Rock Construction gave us a fixed price quote and with the exception of added work we requested, there was no cost overrun on our project
We would happily recommend Rock Construction to others looking for a quality building project with minimal hassle.
